Senior nelson Mandela municipality management has to take responsibility for the dilemma created with the Newtonpark swimming pool repairs
The Newton park pool-dilemma started with good intentions.
Someone decided it was time to drain the pool and refit the couple of tiles that has become detached from the pool floor. And that is when things started going south.
Once the water-pressure was removed from the pool, the tiles started to pop-up like popcorn. The first reaction is to blame someone for this situation/condition. Somebody must be held accountable. If someone is to be blamed then it can be only the management of NMMB for lack of involvement and initiative The day-to-day running of this facility could not have been performed by a more dedicate staff. The guys started at 04h30 in the mornings and work till 09h00 at night.
The lack of action to get this Port Elizabeth icon restored is just confirming the lack of leadership and Management skills.
