"it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." - Imagine saying this to 8+years old boy and what it does to his believe system.
For most of my life I believed that it is wrong to be wealthy and that rich people has to be devious. All throughout my working life I earned, I lived. Spending my resources was fun and it is also the right thing to do..
A short time ago when I have stumble across the insightfulness of religious financial Guru's here on the internet and I now have come to realize that my subconscious belief system was all wrong.
It is also possible that above quote could have many different meanings. (which i will talk about in a different post). This might also be a good time to give you my disclaimer.;
I have no financial qualification and also no Theological expert.. I just enjoy taking things and gadgets apart to see I can improve. Everything you read and see hear is mostly stuff that belongs to others and this is only my interpretation of it. If you feel something on this blog belong to you feel free to drop me note so that I can credit you or remove it.
The Bibles way of managing your finances
Although the Bible doesn't actually tell us about modern day financial planning, it does give us wisdom and prudence how to managing our affairs.
It all starts with the following believe.
God has created everything and everything belongs to Him
Do all your work as given by the Lord Korrentheus 3 : 23.
All tasks/work comes from the Lord. He has intrusted me and you to work for Him and glorify Him with our approach to the work He has intrusted us with..
We make mistakes. Most of the time it is not done intentionally because I firmly be nobody will deliberately cause hardship for his family. and himself by mismanaging his work and money. Temptation lure everywhere in our daily lives and it you let your guard down for a second someone will convince you a want-is-a-need to have.
Big business and Banks dazzle the average working person into thinking that he now has ARRIVED - by dumping Credit/Shopping Cards in his hands..
People are so blinded by their shining possessions that they never see how these corporations has tricked them into Financial-slavery. Then Consumers must work long and far away from their families just to make the monthly payment.
Most people never realize the cause for their strained relationships are because of the gap between their earning and spending.
It is never too late to make adjustments to your lifestyle by spending less than you make and spend more time with family and friends.
